RD&A designed the recently completed Hinoman offices in the Azriely Reshonim business center in Rishon Lezion. Hinoman specializes in cultivating a unique plant named ‘mankai’ for healthy, secure, and sustainable food. The primary design challenge was integrating the highly innovative indoor labs with strict requirements and restrictions while maintaining an integral, flowing, moderate line. RD&A located the labs in the heart of the space and created a dynamic flow through layers of material with both fabricated and natural materials, creating social islands with different functions and styles of interactions. The space's aesthetics were developed via extensive research on the ‘mankai’ plant's inherent features, and the studio recruited an artist and a designer to create countless detailed wooden hand-crafted elements that execute a parametric 3-dimension wooden ceiling designed to conceptualize the foliage of Vietnam forests.
